In order to be eligible for financial aid and scholarships, future and current UC Merced students are urged to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) no later than March 2.
In today’s sluggish economy, students need all the help they can get in order to finance a college education. By filing the FAFSA, students are eligible to receive financial aid including grants, federal and state loans and scholarships.
“Financial aid is intended to remove financial barriers for families who cannot afford the cost of a higher education and to fill in the gap for families who can afford only part of the cost,” said Diana Ralls, director of the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships.
Ralls encourages students not to wait, file your FAFSA today!
